PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works collaboratively to research, design, implement, deploy and operate systems. Oversees code releases and improves planning of test and deployment. Automates software deployment processes by developing tools and releasing incremental updates. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues in development, test, and production environments and processes. Coordinates and collaborates to increase effectiveness. Supports multiple platforms. Handles issues, providing guidance and recommendations to increase efficiency and reduce incidents. Develops tooling and processes and creates playbooks to drive and improve overall productivity and effectiveness. Increases system responsiveness and monitors application performance by anticipating and correcting operational issues before their occurrence. Refines operating environments by continuously improving the infrastructure to be easily deployable and scalable. EDUCATION: Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 15+years of experience requried Knowledge of agile methodology, development processes and programming languages. Organized with ability to coordinate and collaborate across various lines of business/functional units and stakeholders. Understands the software development lifecycle and various automation tools for developing digital pipelines; automation experience with configuration/deployment management systems. Curiosity and willingness to learn and explore new concepts, ideas and areas. Ability to use a variety of open source technologies and cloud services. Working understanding of coding and scripting; flexibility to respond to ongoing, ever-changing processes. Knowledge of best practices and technology operations in an always-up, always-available service. Decision-making ability. Knowledge of application and system architectures. Typically, 5-6+ years related experience. May lead work or mentor others. Has demonstrated ability in agile methodology, development processes, programming languages, software development lifecycle and various automation tools. Provides technical leadership and day-to-day work direction for team members. Individual contributor/technical lead on medium to complex projects. Oversees team communications. Provides direction and communicates with customers to ensure business needs are met. Excellent business knowledge with in-depth understanding of business lines supported. Facilitates and delivers solutions consistent with business rules, methodologies and standards. Offers solutions to technological problems. Possesses deep technical breadth and depth. Troubleshoots complex problems independently.
