As a Perl Developer, you'll play a key role in supporting high-impact projects by developing, testing, and debugging code in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a prestigious financial institution and contribute to key initiatives within the industry. Key Responsibilities: Code Development: Write, test, and debug code in Perl, Shell/Korn Shell, and JavaScript for various projects. System Integration: Work with distributed storage systems such as DB2, Sybase/Sybase IQ, and MongoDB. CI/CD Pipelines: Utilize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, with a focus on Git. Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely project completion and provide support during development cycles. Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews and assist with testing to maintain high-quality standards. Required Skills & Experience: Programming Expertise: Strong skills in Perl, Shell/Korn Shell, and JavaScript. Linux Experience: Extensive experience with Linux operating systems. Database Familiarity: Experience with distributed storage systems including DB2, Sybase/Sybase IQ, and MongoDB. CI/CD Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially using Git. Unix/Linux Skills: Solid working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments. Experience: 3-5 years of relevant programming experience. Preferred Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not required. Industry Experience: Experience within the financial sector is advantageous. Contract Details: Duration: Initial six-month contract with strong potential for extension based on performance and project needs. Location: On-site work required 5 days per week at either the Dallas or Salt Lake City office.
