Title: Project Manager/Lead Developer Duration: 6+ Months project Location: Hybrid (DC & MD offices) 1 day a week Must be in DC or MD Responsibilities: Lead Metro's Passenger Information Digital Displays (PIDS) Program projects and initiatives. Manage the project team. Function as Scrum Master Manage relationship with third party vendors on behalf of WMATA. Lead requirements gathering workshops with the stakeholders and architecture workshops with the technical team. Consolidate projects into uniform body of work, allowing executive management and other Steering Committee members to have visibility needed to monitor progress and risks. Coordinate management of multiple related projects directed toward strategic business initiative and other organizational objectives, liaising between business and technology. Facilitate sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives, stakeholder meetings, and software demonstrations. Protect development team from outside distractions, impediments, or team conflicts, and maintain focus on product backlog and project timeline. Direct and lead development team from project initiation through delivery of final product. Identify gaps, develop processes, and ensure policies and procedures are followed. Support Operations and Maintenance of the Passenger Information Display System (PIDS). Defend projects during ISO audits. Become a SME in terms of communication and maintenance of different types of PIDS LED and LCD displays from multiple PIDS display manufacturers. Software Development: Develop, test, and deploy robust web applications using .NET technologies, including ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, C#, and Entity Framework. Front-End Development: Design and implement user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Back-End Development: Design and implement server-side logic and database interactions using technologies like ASP.NET Web API. Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with databases (e.g., SQL Server and Oracle). Project Oversight: Managing the entire software lifecycle, from conception to completion. Code Writing and Unit Tests: Crafting and testing code to ensure functionality. User Needs Analysis: Understanding and addressing user requirements Education Minimum of bachelors degree in computer-related field. Experience can be substituted for degree when demonstrated through a strong portfolio of completed projects in combination with verifiable certifications (i.e., PMP and Scrum Master Certification).
