Job Title: Platform Engineer Location: Remote Job Type: Contract Interview process: Telephonic/ Web Ex Platform Engineer What were looking for We are looking for a talented and motivated Platform Engineer to join our team and play a key role in managing our Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes cluster while building robust CI/CD systems. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes will ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our services. Additionally, you will lead the development of our CI/CD pipelines to streamline our software delivery process. Location: New York City /Remote Experience: 5+ Years Responsibilities Solve problems and build delightful experiences for our engineers and users. Manage and optimize Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. Oversee the deployment and maintenance of our Kubernetes clusters. Enhance CI/CD and testing systems to accelerate the software development lifecycle. Create services in Go, for internal and product usage. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security compliance. Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve our platform capabilities. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in partnership with other engineers. Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment. Work across different products, tech stacks, and programming languages. Work collaboratively with Engineering, Product, and Commercial teams. Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer (start-up or another fast-paced work environment) Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes. Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience building CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools. Familiarity with hosting web and mobile applications, and the technology in our stack including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Go, Postgres, React, React Native, and Typescript. Ability to effectively communicate with Customers and Partners, demonstrating clarity, humility, and precision. Low ego and excited to work across various functions to help move the business forward. Comfortable with ambiguity and changing requirements in an evolving environment. Based in New York City, or willing to relocate. Legally qualified to work in the US.
