Visa : USC/GC Interview Mode : Phone + Video Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with experience in Optical Networking and LAN/WAN architecture to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting robust networking solutions. This role will involve working with Cisco technologies, optical networking components, and Next-Gen firewalls to ensure the security, efficiency, and reliability of the network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage LAN/WAN infrastructure with a focus on scalability and high performance. Deploy and maintain optical networking solutions, ensuring seamless data transmission across long distances. Configure and manage Cisco networking devices, including routers, switches, and other hardware. Implement and manage Next-Generation Firewalls for network security, ensuring compliance with security best practices and policies. Monitor network performance, identify issues, and perform troubleshooting to maintain optimal network performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network designs and support overall business objectives. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for network hardware and software, including firmware and patch updates. Document network designs, configurations, and processes for auditing and operational purposes. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in optical networking technologies (e.g., DWDM, SONET, Fiber Channel). Strong background in LAN/WAN network architecture and protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, MPLS). Expertise in Cisco networking equipment including routers, switches, and wireless access points. Hands-on experience with Next-Gen Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA with FirePOWER, Fortinet). Proficiency in network security principles and best practices, including VPNs, encryption, and intrusion prevention systems. Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE. Experience in cloud-based networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure). Knowledge of SD-WAN and virtualization technologies. Experience with network automation tools and scripting.
