Position : Project Manager Location : Hybrid (Oregon) Duration : 6 months C2C Interview : Video UTILITY PROJECT MANAGER EXP IS MUST. Description: Utility Project Management experience is required! Utility Project Manager Our client is seeking a highly skilled Utility Project Manager to oversee end-to-end smart grid demonstrations and support existing Department of Energy (DOE) smart grid grant work. The Utility Project Manager will lead select projects, manage project deliverables, and collaborate closely with internal and external partners. This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon. Responsibilities Manage and deliver select utility program field and customer-facing projects, including full ownership of scope, schedule, budget, and risk management. Track, document, and file items in SharePoint. Create detailed write-ups for various meetings or organizational reports. Communicate with project partners on the status of pending or overdue items. Manage the organization of and upload PPT/documentation files to the team SharePoint site. Take comprehensive notes during meetings, including attendance records. Manage calendar invites and coordinate internal/external attendee participation for meetings. Lead daily meetings with team members and follow up on action items. Develop and review key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure project success. Provide weekly/monthly status reports and presentations to senior leadership. Coordinate with vendors and organization staff for project execution. Conduct strategic utility program use case planning and demonstration capability reviews. Oversee vendor contracting, negotiations, and contract management. Review and provide recommendations on project financials, resourcing, and risk/issue mitigation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. 5-10 years of utility project management experience, particularly in technology implementation or customer programs. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven self-starter with strategic planning abilities. Experience with utility financial tracking and budget management. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Expertise in Distributed Energy Resources (DER) technical solutions. Knowledge of utility customer programs.
