Educational Requirement: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field Our client is looking for a skilled COBOL Developer to join the team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in COBOL programming and a strong understanding of mainframe systems. The candidate will provide support for development, architecture, and overall administration for our clients mainframe initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain Mainframe COBOL & JCL to meet support and/or project requirements Partner with Agency stakeholder teams across business units to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams Adhere to security and control, Sarbanes-Oxley, and change control processes Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code Together with application users, identity the possibility of the automation of existing manual processes through the data integration of mainframe and external (non-mainframe) systems.
