| From: shaik mohammed, www.abidisolutions.com [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: GIS SME Specialist - Specialist 3 Location: Brooklyn, New York, (On-Site) Visa: all visa is workable except H1B, OPT and CPT Duration: 12 months (No H1B, OPT and CPT) NG911 must Scope of Services: We are seeking an experienced Specialist GIS SME to join our team in support of the City of New York's Next Generation 911 (NG911) initiative. The successful candidate will oversee the execution and delivery of geospatial data, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contributing to the seamless integration of GIS components into the NG911 system. Key Responsibilities: Geospatial Data Management: Manage and oversee the execution and delivery of geospatial data for NG911 Class 3. Workflow Development: Develop sustainable workflows for authorizing and updating map tiles, PSAP boundaries, and for packaging and delivering City Street and Centreline (CSCL), Automated Location Information (ALI), and Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) data to the Class 3 NG911 subsystem. Compliance Enforcement: Ensure NG911 GIS compliance with industry standards from NENA and APCO, covering the complete workflow from LVF/ECRF creation to Call Handling. Test Case Development: Provide test cases and identify risks associated with Geospatial System integration into the NG911 system. Validation and Review: Validate test results for GIS components during SAT and SIT, review applicable architectural flows, and compare with raw test results to ensure the system behaves as expected. Mandatory Qualifications: Candidates must meet the following mandatory qualifications to be considered: 12+ Years of Experience in the GIS field, with a strong focus on spatial analysis, geostatistics, network analysis, and other spatial data manipulations. Proficiency in GIS Software: Extensive experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro), QGIS, MapInfo, or similar tools. Spatial Analysis Expertise: Ability to perform and interpret complex spatial analyses, including spatial statistics, network analysis, and terrain analysis. GIS Project Management: Proven experience in managing GIS projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Data Management: Expertise in data collection, integration, cleaning, and maintenance of spatial datasets. Custom GIS Applications: Experience in developing custom GIS applications and tools to meet specific user requirements. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex spatial problems. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity. GIS Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of NENA and APCO standards and their application to NG911 systems. Desirable Skills/Experience: Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Professional Certifications: Professional certifications such as Esri Technical Certification, GISP (GIS Professional), or other relevant certifications are preferred.
