| Position: Network Engineer - Sr Location: Plano (MUST BE LOCAL NO RELOCATION - ONLY LOCAL TO PLANO/TX) Onsite Visa: USC, GC, GC-EAD and H4-EAD Only Candidate must have an updated LinkedIn ID with his/her current location and a picture (REQUIRED!!) Duration: ~24 months The position requires strong expertise in Cisco technologies, particularly ACI, BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), and IPsec, with approximately 90% of the work centered on Cisco equipment and 10% on scripting. The engineer will also need to participate in the standard maintenance window, which occurs from midnight to 6 AM, on a weekly or monthly basis depending on the project load. This project is critical in ensuring the seamless integration and operation of third-party networks within Capital Ones infrastructure. JOB DESCRIPTION: 5+ years of experience with Networking technologies (SDWAN, Cisco ACI, Equinix Cloud Exchange) 4+ years of experience with coding and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Nornir) 3+ years of experience in network architecture, design and implementation 2+ years of experience with monitoring tools (Observ, Splunk, New Relic, Datadog) 3+ years of experience working with Agile Development Practices" Project Details : LOB : Connectivity Engineering- all physical connectivity to third parties and connectivity infrastructure. Experian and TransUnion are third parties they use. Over 120 connections to third parties. Current Project : The primary focus of this role is to manage and enhance third-party network relationships utilizing Cisco and SD-WAN Versa technologies. The engineer will be responsible for both establishing new connectivity and maintaining existing network connections. Additionally, the role involves developing small scripts to automate network tasks.
