SCCM/Intune Skills Role Description A Desktop Level 3 with SCCM/Intune Skills is a senior IT professional who provides technical support and troubleshooting for desktop devices, applications, and network connectivity issues. They also manage and maintain the SCCM/Intune environment, which is used to deploy, update, and secure Windows devices and applications across the organization. Responsibilities Provide Level 3 support for desktop devices, applications, and network connectivity issues, escalating to other teams or vendors as needed. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows devices and applications, including Office 365, Azure AD, and VPN. Manage and maintain the SCCM/Intune environment, including creating and deploying policies, applications, updates, and scripts. Monitor and report on the health, compliance, and performance of the SCCM/Intune environment and devices. Perform backup and restore operations for SCCM/Intune servers and databases. Document and update the procedures and best practices for desktop support and SCCM/Intune administration. Train and mentor junior desktop support staff and end users on Windows devices and applications. An Intune administrator should have a solid understanding of the Intune service, its features, capabilities, and limitations. An Intune administrator should be able to plan, implement, and troubleshoot Intune deployments, policies, and profiles. An Intune administrator should be familiar with the Intune portal, the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center, and the Microsoft Graph API. An Intune administrator should be able to integrate Intune with other Microsoft services, such as Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. An Intune administrator should have basic knowledge of device management concepts, such as mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM), and conditional access. An Intune administrator should have basic knowledge of app development and deployment concepts, such as app packaging, app signing, app protection policies, and app configuration policies. An Intune administrator should have basic knowledge of networking and security concepts, such as firewalls, proxies, certificates, encryption, and compliance.
