While the role is remote, candidates must be based in California, with a preference for Northern California, Bay Area, or Sacramento. Job Title: Sr. Linux Systems Administrator/Engineer Location: 100% Remote, in California (Candidates must live in California and relocate before the start date) Job Description: Expertise in Linux systems administration and engineering Proven experience with automation/configuration management using Linux systems Strong practical experience of 6+ years with Linux-based systems administration in a cloud or virtualized environment Qualifications: RedHat Linux OS administration experience (required) Experience performing RHEL OS Patching (required) Shell scripting experience (required) Python scripting experience (preferred) AWS EC2 experience (required) AWS patch manager experience (required) Terraform experience (preferred) Ansible or Puppet experience (preferred) Datadog monitoring experience (a plus, but not required) Must Haves: Recent experience in the Academia/University/College industry (current or previous, 2-4 jobs) 6+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Admin/Engineer, including: RedHat Linux OS administration and RHEL OS Patching Shell scripting and Python scripting AWS EC2 and AWS patch manager At least one of Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet If you meet these qualifications and are interested in this opportunity, please respond with your updated resume and a brief overview of your experience.
