Description We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with a strong healthcare background and public sector experience. This position is 100% remote anywhere in the US. Anyone without health care and public sector will be rejected. This role requires a healthcare professional who can effectively bridge the gap between clinical departments, administrative units, and IT teams. The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of hands-on experience in healthcare business and systems analysis, coupled with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of healthcare workflows and regulations. We're looking for someone who excels at analyzing current healthcare processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing innovative solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency. This person should be comfortable leading requirements gathering sessions with diverse stakeholders (including administrators and IT professionals), and skilled at documenting and visualizing both current and future-state healthcare processes. The right candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while working with various departments. They should have information systems and healthcare experience, strong technical writing abilities, and proficiency with healthcare-specific modeling and mapping tools. Above all, we need someone who is dedicated to healthcare delivery, has a talent for uncovering root causes of issues in healthcare systems, and possesses the confidence and expertise to tackle complex challenges in the healthcare IT landscape. Knowledge of healthcare-specific regulations (such as HIPAA), experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, previous immunization project experience and familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards would be highly advantageous for this position. Responsibilities: * Meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; obtain first-hand customer information and use it for improvements in products and services; talk and act with client in mind; establish and maintain effective relationships with client and gains their trust and respect. * Solve difficult or complex problems with effective solutions; ask good questions and probe all sources for answers; be able to identify underlying or hidden problems and patterns be excellent at honest analysis; and looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers. * Work on complex business problems, analyzing and evaluating current business methods and procedures for improvements. * Work closely with end users to develop a detailed understanding of user IT needs and define requirements for new or improved systems. * Conduct data and/or requirements gathering meetings. Document meeting minutes and drive closure of action items. * Visualize, diagram and explain As-Is and To-Be business process flows. * Consult with technical or functional experts at all levels to obtain requirements and develop solution proposals. * Function as liaison between the Business units, IT department, vendor, and/or the user community. * Provide project and business level analysis and can get hands on with producing required project analysis documentation. * Coordinate, analyze and interpret internal and external client system requirements, workflows, and data. Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years demonstrated, hands-on experience in business/systems analysis in the technology industry, including preparing business analysis, project documents, and Testing. Strong communication and facilitation skills (both verbal and written). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to act in a consultative role to understand functional business processes, related IT needs and to develop solutions and delivery proposals. Proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities. Strong technical writing. Proficient with modeling and mapping tools (e.g., Visio). Strong facilitation skills, including leading meetings, presentation skills, and problem resolution/mediation. Strong initiative; able to self-manage and use good judgment of when to ask for assistance or guidance from managers. Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible enough to work through the issues to get the right things done. Understands communication channels and escalates appropriately.
