Position: Android Developer Location: Sunnyvale, CA Duration: 12 Months Work Arrangement: Onsite About the Role: As an Android Developer at Walmart, you will: Troubleshoot and resolve business and production issues for mobile devices by analyzing information and engaging support teams. Develop innovative mobile technology solutions and strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Translate project requirements into functional mobile solutions for Android, including coding and UI development. Conduct performance analysis, bug fixing, and implement high-quality code. Collaborate with UI/UX Designers and Software Testers to ensure seamless and user-friendly applications. Stay updated on industry trends to continuously enhance development efficiency and application performance. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform. Perform unit testing and ensure the robustness of applications. Work with APIs and remote data, including REST, JSON, and Google Cloud Messaging. Implement solutions for app performance and memory management issues. Drive high-priority initiatives and communicate effectively with decision-makers and stakeholders. Requirements: Education: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in full stack software development with a focus on Android platforms. Skills: Proficiency in Java/Kotlin, Android SDK, Google Play APIs, REST, JSON, and memory analysis. Knowledge: Experience with mobile architectures (MVVM, GraphQL), React Native, and agile methodologies. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and collaborative mindset. Desirable: Published original Android apps. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
