Please let me know if you are interested in the position below Title : Senior Data Engineer Location : Greater Chicago Area , hybrid Duration : 6 months Visa : No H1b/CPT Job Description Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with data engineering, product managers, and data science teams to meet various data requirements. Design and develop enterprise data solutions based on architecture standards and leading practices. Implement solutions for data migration, data delivery, and machine learning pipelines. Build resilient, reliable, performant, and secure data platforms and applications. Automate deployments of AWS services and business intelligence applications. Work closely with application development and data engineering teams on project planning, implementation, and daily tasks. Provide expert guidance to projects to ensure processes and deliverables align with target state architecture. Implement Identity Access Management (IAM) roles and policies. Technical Qualifications: 6+ years in application/platform engineering or related technical work, including business intelligence and analytics. 4+ years of experience with AWS, focusing on cloud data engineering, management, maintenance, or architecture. Proficient with data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake and Redshift. Strong experience with AWS services including S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, Kinesis, Data Pipelines, EMR, Step Functions, VPC, IAM, and Security Groups. Experience with database technologies like SQL, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora, AWS RDS, MongoDB, and Redis. Expertise in CI/CD tools, pipelines, and scripting for automation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, CloudFormation, Terraform). Advanced knowledge in IAM roles and policies, cloud monitoring, and alerting. Strong scripting experience using PowerShell and/or Python. Familiarity with PaaS and SaaS application performance and enterprise-level application architecture. Additional Qualifications: Comfort and experience in solving problems in a dynamic and ambiguous environment. Proven ability to design and build scalable, robust data pipelines. Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. Rigorous attention to detail and troubleshooting technical issues. Passionate about programming and learning new technologies. Experience with on-premises to AWS migrations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Preferred Experience: Experience with large-scale enterprise streaming services such as Kafka. Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker containers, or AWS Fargate. Experience with networking, security groups, and policy management in cloud environments. Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
