Your role involves collaboration with partner teams, overseeing pre-production hardware, performing hardware and network troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety and ESD guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Network Infrastructure Management: Work with partner teams for firewall installations and upgrades in a high-touch, unstable hardware/software environmaent. Administer and troubleshoot network devices, including switches (Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, HP, Dell). Maintain and support lab infrastructure, including switches, racks, and other hardware. Hardware and Software Handling: Track incoming and outgoing pre-production hardware, including receiving shipments, inspecting for damage, and managing installation in the lab. Handle hardware support for software teams, including scenarios like surprise hot removal, hot plug, recovery, and RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Network Operations and Management: Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices, including performing OS and firmware upgrades. Knowledge of LAN switch technology (Spanning Tree Protocol, VLAN, VTP) and routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP). Perform network operations, incident management, and change review/impact analysis for network changes. Compliance and Safety: Ensure lab infrastructure maintenance follows safety and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) guidelines. Maintain compliance with infrastructure software requirements. Firewall Management: Basic knowledge of firewall configurations and updates. Perform low-level debugging and triage for firewall issues. Essential Skills: Network Device Administration: Hands-on experience with switches (Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, HP, Dell) and network device troubleshooting. Understanding of LAN switch technology and routing protocols. Network Operations: Experience in network operations, incident management, and impact analysis for network changes. Hardware and Software Management: Experience in hardware handling, including receiving, inspecting, and installing hardware. Familiarity with firewall updates and basic troubleshooting. Compliance and Safety: Knowledge of safety and ESD guidelines for lab infrastructure maintenance. Upgrades and Maintenance: Hands-on experience in OS and firmware upgrades for network devices.
