Job Title Manual Tester Location Onsite - Somerset, NJ ( Local to New jersey Candidates Needed ) Type of Hire Contract Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Analyst to join our team, working on the Transit fare collection system. This role involves testing various devices such as vending machines, back-office applications (mainly web-based), and mobile apps. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software quality assurance, particularly in the context of transit systems. Responsibilities: - Create, maintain, and execute database queries for backend data verification. - Perform log reviews on UNIX and Windows servers. - Provide daily status updates and report risks/issues for test script execution. - Deliver weekly status reports. - Conduct regression testing and efficient O&M defect verification. - Perform Client Facing Testing. - Conduct Web and Mobile application testing. - Perform API testing using Postman/Swagger. - Execute end-to-end testing of all Transit Systems Software and Hardware, including Ticket Vending Machines (TVM), Ticket Office Machines (TOM), Validation Systems, Web, and Mobile applications. Required Skills: - Bachelors degree or equivalent working experience. - Minimum of five (5) years of Software Quality Assurance (SW QA) experience. - Experience with Open/Closed Payment Transit Systems (e.g., TVM, TOM, ATM, Contactless devices, Smart cards) is highly desired. - Familiarity with transit devices and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium). - Proficiency in Web and Mobile Application Testing. - Understanding of Agile processes and the waterfall model. - Experience with API testing using Postman/Swagger. - Knowledge of SharePoint, JIRA, JAMA, TFS, Oracle, SQL, UNIX, Angular services, and Jasper Reports. - Experience in collaborating with software development teams to enhance software quality. - Ability to work with production support teams to verify, validate, and resolve production issues. - Proficiency in Software Installation on devices. Good to Have Skills: - API automation using Apache Karate/Rest Assured or similar tools. - UI Automation using Selenium and BDD or similar frameworks. Additional Requirements: - UNIX and SQL experience is mandatory. - Candidates must be local to New Jersey.
