| Role: Data Analyst - Data Governance Location: Auburn Hills MI Frisco Texas Key Responsibilities Data Documentation: Define data security classifications. Analyze data profiles and collaborate with data users and stakeholders to understand data for specific use cases. Catalog data with definitions, descriptions, metadata, and associations with relevant regulations or policies. Define data quality rule requirements and data standardization needs. Maintain comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, lineage, data flow diagrams, and source-to-target mappings. Data Guidance and Use: Guide users in understanding data quality and selection based on use cases to ensure it is fit for purpose. Collaborate to identify critical data elements and necessary data sets. Deliver data requirements to data engineering for configuration. Validate data in various environments to ensure it meets established quality and usage requirements. Work within an Agile framework to deliver tasks within defined project sprints. Adhere to established data standards, procedures, and processes to meet regulatory requirements and use case needs. Required Experience 5+ years of experience in data governance and/or data management. 5+ years of experience in roles such as Data Steward, Business Analyst, or Data Analyst. Proficiency in data profiling, statistical analysis, data analysis, data quality, and standardization/cleansing techniques. Strong data query and analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and proactively address data quality issues. Experience in documenting data, including data catalogs, source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and data flow documentation. 2+ years of experience working on Agile project teams and using JIRA. Familiarity with tools such as Collibra, Informatica, and Snowflake (knowledge of Python and R is a plus). Required Skills Strong relationship management and facilitation skills. Proficient in data querying and problem-solving. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail with the ability to align work with the overall big picture. Effective issue resolution and decision-making capabilities. Ability to synthesize information and recommend solutions. Strong multi-tasking and influencing skills. Curiosity and a proactive approach to understanding and improving processes.
