With over 20 years of experience in financial services, the ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of incident and crisis management methodologies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. This role demands a seasoned professional with a strong executive presence, capable of interfacing directly with senior leadership and clients to ensure the organizations preparedness and resilience in the face of crises. Key Responsibilities: Incident and Crisis Management Leadership: Develop and lead the organization's incident and crisis management strategy, ensuring robust processes and methodologies are in place to manage potential disruptions. Establish and oversee the implementation of incident and crisis management processes, including the creation and maintenance of detailed playbooks and response protocols. Process Development & Implementation: Design and stand up comprehensive processes to manage incidents and crises, from initial identification through to resolution and post-incident review. Develop and conduct tabletop exercises, simulations, and scenario planning to test the effectiveness of incident and crisis management strategies. Regulatory Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure that all incident and crisis management processes comply with relevant financial services regulations and industry standards. Stay abreast of best practices within the industry, continuously refining and updating the organization's crisis management framework to align with evolving standards and regulatory requirements. Executive Engagement & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for senior client leadership during incidents and crises, providing clear, authoritative communication and guidance. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, clients, and senior executives, to ensure a coordinated and effective response to incidents. Crisis Communication & Reporting: Lead the development and execution of crisis communication strategies, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination to all relevant parties. Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses of incidents and crises to senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations for future improvements. Continuous Improvement: Lead post-incident reviews and after-action reports to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in incident and crisis management processes. Mentor and guide teams in crisis management, ensuring the organization maintains a state of readiness. Qualifications: Experience: 20+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with extensive expertise in incident and crisis management. Proven track record of developing and implementing incident and crisis management methodologies, processes, and playbooks. Strong knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to incident and crisis management. Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management abilities. Strong executive presence with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership and clients directly. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in conducting tabletop exercises and scenario planning. Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
