Title: QA Automation Engineer MOI: One virtual and second onsite Duration: Long term 2+ year contract Location: Hybrid in Troy, MI LinkedIn ID DL MUST ALREADY BE LOCAL. OVERVIEW: Our Client is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our development team as a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer. As a QA Engineer, you will be working with our cross-functional team to test new product modules, features, and enhancements to meet specified technical and business requirements. The ideal candidate has a great attention to detail and is consistent about their ability to follow-through and reach key deadlines. JOB QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITES The QA Automation Engineer's responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop test cases, automate and execute the test plans to identify software anomalies, missed requirements and performance issues. Work with team members to triage bugs and seek feedback as necessary. Follow-up with bug-owners to resolve and close them in a timely manner. Work with Product Owners to prioritize test cases and bugs. Participates in the sprint ceremonies as a member of the development team. Work to consistently improve testing efficiency including for regression testing. Demo tested Sprint features and bug fixes to stakeholders. Troubleshoot Tier 3 issues to determine if the issue is a known or new bug. Ensure that application follows defined solution architecture and use software engineering best practices and designs. Accurately estimate time to complete tasks, resulting in high quality and high productivity EDUCATION: 4-year degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field. EXPERIENCE: Experience in test automation using PlayWright 3-5 years of QA engineering experience 1-2 years of QA automation experience Experience with non-functional testing of applications and services. Experience testing complex products and connected/online services, UI and backend components. Hands-on proficiency in automated tools such as Chai, Selenium, JMeter. Experience using SoapUI, Postman, or other API testing software. Comfortable working with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, knowledge of SOAP/gRPC is a plus. Experience with Jira or a similar product management tool. Experience with Xray is a plus. Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with both a technical and non- technical audience. Interest in understanding how things work and how to break them. Strong aptitude for evaluating and solving complex problems and issues. Experience working in healthcare IT industry is a plus. Coding experience in JavaScript, Go or Java is a plus. Experience testing event driven microservices is a plus. Comfortable working with PostgreSQL is a plus. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
