| Sr NodeJS Backend Developer 100% Remote Need in CST Time zone 6 months extendable Contract roles Visa: USC GC, GC-EAD only Need perfect one LinkedIn must POSITION SUMMARY Working as a part of a large internal team the Developers would use their deep understanding of Node.js, Expert.js, NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB) and SQL to create and deliver new products and services for customers. They will collaborate with a team of seasoned Engineers focused on building a suite of external-facing products. The Developers need to be highly efficient in creating database queries and data modeling. RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, maintain, and support backend components and APIs. Engage in scrum ceremonies and other SDLC activities. Follow Node.js-specific coding standards, best practices, and testing practices. Continually monitor industry trends and stay current with the latest developments in Node.js technologies. Deliver tasks punctually, while adhering to acceptance criteria. Draft relevant technical backend documentations. Mentor Junior Backend Developers. Utilize clear and empathic communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX Designers, DBAs, and Infrastructure. Participate in peer code reviews. Explore and adopt new backend technologies and design patterns. Lead backend architectural discussions. Support DevOps practices, especially integrating CI/CD pipelines for Node.js. Diagnose and resolve production defects swiftly. Serve as a backend SME, deeply understanding the business processes supported by the applications. QUALIFICATIONS 7+ years in backend software development. Proficient in Node.js and frameworks like Express.js. Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) and SQL databases. Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Knowledge of version control systems like Git and the ability to collaborate with development teams using Git-based workflows. Experience with CI/CD tools. Understanding of microservices architecture. Experience in designing scalable and maintainable software architectures. Knowledge of RESTful API design principles. Strong analytical and communication skills. Experience with performance monitoring tools and the ability to proactively address bottlenecks and issues. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), with a deep understanding of best practices, patterns, and advanced features. Experience integrating Node.js applications with React front ends. Familiarity with Azure DevOps. Knowledge of logging tools like AppInsights and Dynatrace. Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
