Our client is seeking a Data Governance Architect to oversee the management and enhancement of data governance frameworks across all divisions. Responsibilities include assessing data retention, archiving, and disposition requirements for unstructured data repositories. This role involves conducting thorough reviews and analyses, leading client meetings, and addressing inquiries from various business teams. The Data Governance Architect will develop, implement, and uphold data governance policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory mandates. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to define data governance roles and responsibilities, as well as establish data stewardship and accountability frameworks. Regular data governance assessments and audits will be conducted to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks related to data management. The position also involves providing expert guidance to business units on data governance matters and delivering training sessions to stakeholders to ensure understanding of data governance concepts and compliance requirements. Acting as a liaison between business and technology areas, the Data Governance Architect will ensure that data-related business requirements for sensitive data protection are clearly defined and prioritized in operational planning. Job Skills: Over 15 years of experience in Data Management and Analytics. 10+ years dedicated to data assessment, discovery, and governance. Expertise in Data Security, Privacy, Cost Optimization, and Regulatory Compliance. Knowledge of industry-leading data quality and data protection management practices. Deep understanding of data governance practices, business issues, and technology in information asset management. Familiarity with data-related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends. Strong consulting skills, including change management concepts and strategies. Interest in new trends in AI and Data Governance to improve data quality and governance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
