Need local or nearby candidates with Linkedin and visa Java Software Engineer Duration: 12 months Client- Walmart 3 days onsite a week Bentonville, AR Skype ++ Ex- Walmart candidates are highly preferred++ Job Description: Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and launch scalable POS retail solutions with a strong focus on operational excellence. Lead Initiatives: Manage projects from requirements analysis and design to post-launch support, delivering value to both store associates and shoppers. Innovation & Problem Solving: Navigate ambiguity to develop innovative solutions that work at scale for the client, ensuring seamless integration with POS systems. Device Integration: Collaborate with device API(s) and vendors to integrate devices into POS solutions, maintaining high standards of operational excellence. Post-Launch Support: Provide ongoing support to ensure the continued success and optimization of POS systems. What Youll Bring: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Java. Solution Design: Proven ability to design scalable solutions involving multiple stakeholders. Coding Excellence: Excellent coding skills with a focus on writing high-quality, tech debt-free code, particularly in Java. Device Integration Expertise: Familiarity with device integration, including knowledge of device drivers and firmware upgrades (preferred but not required). Innovation at Scale: Ability to navigate ambiguity and innovate solutions that can be implemented at scale. Root Cause Analysis: Strong track record of identifying and solving issues at their root through automation and self-service. Ownership & Independence: Ability to work independently, taking end-to-end ownership of projects with minimal guidance. Operational Excellence: Expertise in maintaining a high standard of operational excellence from design through implementation to post-launch support.
