The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, with a focus on protecting and securing cloud-based infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing and managing security measures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively to maintain the security of our systems and data. Key Responsibilities: Security Implementation and Management: Design, implement, and manage security measures to protect cloud-based infrastructure (GCP + AWS). Monitor and maintain security configurations and access controls. Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks. Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures. Respond to and investigate security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST). Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all processes. Provide security guidance and training to team members and stakeholders. Communicate effectively with management and stakeholders regarding security status, risks, and incidents. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest security technologies, trends, and best practices. Continuously evaluate and improve security measures and processes. Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies and procedures. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus. Minimum 5 years of experience in information security or a related field. Strong understanding of cloud security, particularly with AWS and GCP. Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM). Experience with incident response and forensic investigations. Knowledge of security compliance standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. Preferred Qualifications: Professional security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH). Experience with security automation and orchestration. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
