Hours:  8-5pm CT - can flex here a little for different timezones

Project:  We are in search of a meticulous and forward-thinking Project Manager to support the Lead Project Manager on an extensive laptop device transition initiative. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in facilitating the seamless progression of the project, liaising with different stakeholders, and overseeing the maintenance of project records. They might also take on leadership responsibilities for distinct segments of this project.

Description:
We are seeking a motivated and organized Project Manager to support the strategic migration of our laptops and software in the non-clinical and clinical space under the Optum Upgraded Laptops initiative.
In this role, you will work closely with the lead Project Manager and team to ensure this initiative is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This position will utilize communication, leadership, and team management skills to boost project synergy and enhance systems and processes that power teams and functions across the enterprise.
Where necessary, you will provide tools and services to help project management and project teams manage project delivery and value creation.
The desired candidate must be located in the San Antonio TX area and must have the ability to travel at least 10% of the time in support of our clinical rollout.
The candidate should have a background and experience in managing large scale efforts across a large organization.

Essential Job Functions:
Collaborate with lead project manager from initiation to closure, demonstrating project management capabilities and taking ownership of deliverables.
Assist in scheduling, planning and controlling the project delivery process.
Assist with ensuring that resources, timelines, and the overall quality of the process are all considered and accounted for.
Support risk identification.
Communicate all key projects plans, commitments, and changes including requirements.
Recommend process improvements alternative to current rollout tools and processes.
Lead collaborative efforts as assigned.
Search and report dependencies throughout projects.
Actively participate in and influence the development, management, testing, and operations of project processes.
Support the main Project Manager in organizing, implementing, and completing the transition project for laptops.
Work with the team involved to confirm new devices are delivered and set up promptly.
Keep comprehensive records of the project, like timelines, notes from meetings, and progress reports.
Monitor important points and outcomes of the project to make sure deadlines are met.
Offer technical help and problem-solving during the changeover period.
Update the lead Project Manager and other important people about the progress and any problems with the project.
Help with training workshops and be there to help users with the new laptops if necessary.
Carry out additional tasks that are related as needed.

Required:
Proficient in the use of Smartsheet and O365 products.
A Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, computer science, or a comparable field is required, or at least two years of relevant experience in project management or a similar area.
A minimum of two years of experience in release or project management roles is necessary, with a robust grasp of project management principles being preferable.
Applicants should have two years of project management skills, demonstrating the capability to prioritize tasks and adhere to deadlines within the established timeframe constraints.
Prospective candidates should have two years of proficiency in creating and maintaining actionable, realistic, and measurable action plans that outline tasks and outcomes tied to the project's goals and aims.
One must have the ability to operate effectively in situations of uncertainty, rapidly absorb new information on one's own, and achieve results proactively.
General PC knowledge, including Microsoft Office with an intermediate level knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint design for executive audiences
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must

Preferred:
A minimum of two years' experience in healthcare, business, computer science, or related fields is required. The individual should have the ability to influence and support relationships across various geographical areas and diverse levels of understanding concerning organizational processes and policies.
The position necessitates robust planning, prioritization, organization, and completion of tasks to meet predefined objectives. Team collaboration and coordination are essential.
Clear and concise communication of ideas is mandatory.
The applicant should have strong organizational abilities as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
Proven history of effective team participation is crucial.
There is a necessity for a proven track record of executing with excellence, setting deliberate goals, and achieving them by making smart decisions while managing multiple priorities effectively.
A high degree of emotional intelligence and confidence is important.
