JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview:

The Sr. Active Directory Data Analyst plays a critical role in managing and analyzing data from Active Directory (AD) systems. This position is responsible for gathering and interpreting data to support the organization's Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategy. The analyst will also lead efforts to clean up and maintain accurate AD records, create insightful reports for business stakeholders, and manage email campaigns. The role demands advanced skills in data analysis, particularly with PowerShell and Excel/Google Sheets, and involves leading a small team of analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Analysis:

Aggregate data from various sources to perform in-depth analysis, identifying trends, and meaningful correlations that influence business decisions.

Evaluate Active Directory user and group object attributes to identify discrepancies and implement clean-up processes that align with the organization's IAM objectives.

Reporting & Visualization:

Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards that convey complex data in a clear and actionable manner for business stakeholders.

Email Campaign Management:

Supervise the planning, execution, and analysis of email campaigns, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Problem-Solving & Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve data-related challenges, contributing to continuous improvement in data management processes.

Technical Expertise:

Utilize PowerShell scripting to query and manage Active Directory objects and attributes efficiently.

Employ advanced Excel/Google Sheets techniques, such as lookups, to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and efficiency.

Time Zone Flexibility:

Operate effectively in PST hours, coordinating with teams and stakeholders across different time zones as necessary.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Prior experience in a consulting role or a client-facing position is essential, reflecting a strong ability to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver value.

Demonstrated expertise in Active Directory management, data analysis, and IAM processes.

Experience managing a small team and delegating responsibilities.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and advanced Excel/Google Sheets functionalities is critical.

Communication & Documentation:

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong documentation skills to ensure that processes, findings, and recommendations are clearly recorded and accessible.

Independence & Teamwork:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing positively to a team environment.
