Job Title: AIX Admin (10+ Years) Location: Remote Requirement: AIX Admin with 10+ years experience is required. The candidate should have experience as a DBA-cum-Developer with skills in PL/SQL and Shell Scripting, and knowledge of database versions 8.x / 9.x / 10.x or newer. They must have strong experience in Data Warehousing, ETL processes, PL/SQL Programming, and Unix Shell Scripting. The role requires performance tuning at both the Database and OS level, along with expertise in Data Modeling, Physical database design, and Database Backup and Recovery (RMAN). Experience with Solaris, Unix, Linux, and Windows system administration, including Installation, Upgrades, User Managed Backup and Recovery, fixing ORA Errors, Database Refreshes, migration, change management, and data management is needed. The candidate should be capable of capacity planning, aware of remote DBS support SLAs and metrics, and able to implement and maintain database security. They must also perform technical troubleshooting, consult with development teams, and maintain documentation and standards. Optional skills include familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Discoverer, Focus, Crystal Reports), the ability to create and manage remote DB support proposals, and DBA Certification. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, especially for interfacing with onsite teams from an offshore perspective.
