This role demands expertise in migrating from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, with a strong emphasis on Finance and Management Accounting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive domain knowledge across various finance processes, particularly in General Ledger(SAP FICO) management. You will be responsible for setting best practices, driving innovation through Proof of Concepts (POCs), and leading multi-faceted, geographically dispersed teams. Key Responsibilities: Technical Management: Oversee and manage all technical aspects of SAP projects, ensuring seamless execution from planning through implementation. Lead and guide multi-location teams (onsite, nearshore, and offshore) in executing complex SAP projects, utilizing diverse technologies including ABAP, FIORI, Middleware, and Analytics. Migration Expertise: Spearhead the migration process from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, leveraging deep functional and technical knowledge to ensure a smooth transition. Provide expert guidance and oversight throughout the migration process, addressing any challenges and ensuring alignment with best practices. Functional Expertise: Demonstrate domain and functional expertise in Finance and Management Accounting, with a specific focus on General Ledger processes. Develop and implement solutions that align with business needs, leveraging broad domain knowledge across various finance verticals. Best Practices and Innovation: Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and guidelines for SAP solution implementation. Design and develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to drive innovation and validate potential solutions before full-scale implementation. Proposal and Solution Review: Review and analyze project proposals, providing accurate estimates and recommending optimal process solutions. Evaluate and recommend technology and process improvements based on thorough analysis and industry standards. Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and maintain detailed project plans for the technical team, coordinating with Process Teams, Testing Teams, and site teams for comprehensive status updates and issue resolution. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all teams to maintain project timelines and deliverables. Operational Performance and Improvement: Manage and drive operational performance improvements, ensuring consistency, adherence to business controls, and high team performance. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement, addressing any recurring issues and implementing preventive measures. Crisis Management and Client Negotiations: Lead efforts in crisis management, resolving business-critical issues swiftly and effectively. Participate in negotiations for new opportunities, service scope changes, and business-critical issue resolutions. Formulate and implement solutions to meet client requirements and enhance overall service delivery. Qualifications: Extensive experience in SAP project management, particularly in migration from ECC to S/4HANA. Deep functional expertise in Finance and Management Accounting, with a strong focus on General Ledger processes. Proven track record in designing and implementing best practices, standards, and innovative solutions. Experience leading multi-location, multi-technology, and multi-vendor teams.
