Role: Mainframe Architect Location: Tampa, FL (Only Locals) Duration: Contract Experience: Minimum 12+ years Note: Only H1 Visa who can share PP (Dont share GC, GC EAD, H4, OPT/CPT) Role Description: Responsibilities: Develop and design scalable mainframe architectures to meet business requirements, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Lead the implementation of mainframe systems, including installation, configuration, and integration with other enterprise systems. Monitor and optimize mainframe system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and ensuring maximum efficiency. Ensure the security and integrity of mainframe systems, implementing necessary safeguards and compliance measures. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for mainframe environments, ensuring business continuity in case of system failures. Work closely with IT teams, developers, and business stakeholders to align mainframe systems with organizational goals and strategies. Lead mainframe-related projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and according to specifications. Create and maintain detailed documentation of mainframe architectures, configurations, and procedures. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 12 years of experience in mainframe architecture and systems design. Proven track record of leading large-scale mainframe projects. Extensive knowledge of mainframe systems (e.g., IBM z/OS, CICS, DB2). Strong understanding of mainframe networking, storage, and security protocols. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in mainframe environments (e.g., COBOL, Assembler, REXX). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams. [Optional] Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified System Architect) are a plus.
