| Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer Des Moines, IA 50319 -Remote 10 Months State client experience Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our software team focused on modernizing the IWD UI Tax system. The role involves providing technical leadership in the implementation and operationalization of AWS cloud infrastructure and advocating for cloud capabilities to design hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM, as well as experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. You will design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, monitor and troubleshoot performance, and ensure security best practices are followed. Key Responsibilities:10+ years consultant required Lead the implementation and operation of AWS infrastructure. Act as a cloud developer advocate, collaborating with diverse teams. Design, build, and manage AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK. Configure AWS services and manage Istio service mesh in EKS. Develop tests for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with adequate coverage. Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments. Implement monitoring tools and build dashboards for performance insights. Collaborate with engineers to enhance application performance in AWS. Ensure compliance with AWS security best practices. Qualifications: Experience with AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, S3, Istio. Strong knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework. Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CDK. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions. AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) preferred. Strong understanding of networking and security best practices in AWS. Agile methodology experience.
