Role: MongoDB Database Administrator Location: Austin, TX Key Responsibilities: Cluster Management: Design, install, and configure multi-node MongoDB sharded clusters and replica sets. Manage shard and replica nodes, optimize shard keys, and perform cluster upgrades/migrations. Security & Automation: Implement X509 and TLS authentication; configure SSL for security. Automate backup, restore, and monitoring tasks using Python and Shell scripting. Performance Optimization: Tune MongoDB performance, manage Ops Manager, and optimize query plans. Create indexes and handle large-scale data migrations, including AWS. Required Skills: Expertise in MongoDB replication, sharding, and security. Proficient in Python, Shell scripting, and Ops Manager.
