ensuring it functions as intended and meets the requirements set by the
stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Test

and specifications.

o

Design test cases and test scripts that cover various
scenarios, including edge cases, to ensure comprehensive testing.

2.

Test
Execution:

o

Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects or
issues in the software.

o

Perform different types of testing, such as functional,
regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

3.

Defect
Identification and Reporting:

o

Identify, document, and report defects using issue tracking
tools.

o

Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and provide
detailed information to facilitate quick resolution.

4.

Continuous
Improvement:

o

Analyze test results and provide feedback on areas for
improvement in the software and development processes.

o

Participate in retrospectives and suggest enhancements to
testing practices and tools.

5.

Quality
Metrics and Reporting:

o

Track and report on key quality metrics, such as defect
density, test coverage, and test pass/fail rates.

o

Communicate the overall quality status of the product to
stakeholders.

6.

Collaboration:

o

Work closely with developers, product managers, and other
stakeholders to understand the product vision and requirements.

o

Provide input during the design and development phases to
prevent defects early in the process.

7.

Risk
Management:

o

Assess the risks associated with the release of the product
and ensure that critical issues are resolved before deployment.

o

Prioritize testing efforts based on the risk and impact of
potential defects.

8.

Automation:

o

Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase
testing efficiency and coverage.

o

Ensure that automated tests are integrated into the
continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
