Knowledge of Coupling facility support, High Availability and Automation. Experience/knowledge of parallel sysplex (GDPS), IBM system utilities, and Automation. Performance tuning & Development of operational procedures. Experience with system indicators (logs, dumps, error) logs for pro-active management of system problems. Experience with system monitoring tools such as Omegamon. Hardware knowledge on large-scale hardware vendors (IBM, Brocade, Cisco). Administer 3rd-party systems software. System parameters/parmlib maintenance. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software product suite. On-call rotation / weekend work required.
