We are looking for a talented and highly effective Senior Application Programmer to join our development and support team. We are currently supporting, enhancing and maintaining the statewide SNAP/TANF Eligibility Determination system. The enhancements include use of latest technologies as needed to interface/integrate with other systems on different platforms and automation of current processes. **Required Skills/Experience** Provide the minimum required skills and/or experience the contractor must possess to qualify for this position. These requirements will be transferred to the Score Sheet and candidates without these requirements reflected on their resume will NOT be presented to the manager for consideration. Programming experience in Natural, and the utilization of ADABAS. Experience running Natural processes in batch via JCL and/or SCL, and online. Experience in web and client server environments 10+ Years Experience with analyzing user requirements and designs along with testing, implementing and performing Quality Assurance (QA) of information systems utilizing NATURAL ONE, ADABAS, MVS/JCL COBOL/CICS, VSAM files, LINUX ESPSOFT/SCL, INFORMIX relational database, and UNIX 10+ Years Experience with automated eligibility determination systems 5 Years Ability to provide subject matter expertise on system architectures 5 Years Ability to provide recommendations regarding enhancements to the systems and processes 5 Years Experience developing, maintaining, and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes 5 Year Experience training end users on software 5 Year Knowledge of SNAP and TANF eligibility and economic assistance policies and procedures, and current state and federal mandates as implemented or similar to those in MAVS, the Mississippi statewide eligibility determination system 5 Year Experience interpreting, designing and implementing federal and state mandates in Linux systems such as MAVS 5 Year **Preferred/Not Required** Provide any skills/experience that would be helpful for the candidate to possess but not required. Examples: Previous supervisory experience, WebLogic experience helpful, etc. Ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Strong oral and written communication, and time management skills. Strong presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to work independently but effectively with a team to accomplish team projects and solve technical problems.
