| Title: LEAD DATA MIGRATION ENGINEER - FULLY REMOTE Location: Remote Visa: USC, GC GC-EAD and H4-EAD Only They really want someone with 15 years of AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, and AWS S, so as close to 15 years as possible. It is fully remote, but they must live in the US and work east coast hours. It is for the NYS Board of Electors. The NYS Board of Elections is seeking an experienced Lead Data Migration Engineer to oversee and manage complex data migration tasks. This role demands extensive experience with AWS data products, including AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, and AWS S3, with Salesforce experience considered a plus. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in data mapping, quality analysis, cleansing, and ETL processes. This remote position offers a 6+ month contract with a possibility of extension. What Youll Do: Take ownership of priority tickets from ServiceNow and other queues. Collect and manage customer data related to Trading Partners and file transfers using Excel. Communicate effectively with customers via various channels (phone, email, face-to-face). Set up, test, and migrate Trading Partners across Development, QA, and Production environments. Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as connectivity problems and file transfer failures. Provide daily updates on task completion, risks, and issues. What Youll Bring : Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 15 years of experience with AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, and AWS S3. AWS Data Warehousing certification (preferred). Proven experience in data mapping, quality analysis, data cleansing, ETL, and data transformations. Ability to diagnose complex problems, propose logical solutions, and implement them effectively. Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with high attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Bonus Points For: Experience with Salesforce. Experience with Managed File Transfer applications such as Axway, IBM Sterling File Gateway, MoveIT, and CLEO. Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS) and concepts like SSH Key, SSL Certificates. Familiarity with utility applications such as TextPad, Notepad++, PuTTY, and File Transfer Clients. Exposure to directory services and LDAP (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory). Understanding of organizational concepts such as B2B, EDI, MFT, and EAI.
