Onsite - local to South Jersey, Philly or Dallas/Fort Worth, TX Duration : Long Term Contract. Visa Restrictions: No H1b/CPT . Job Description: Design, develop, and maintain Java applications with a focus on business rule integration using Drools. Implement and manage complex business rules and workflows in Drools. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Optimize and enhance existing Drools rules and Java code for performance and scalability. Develop unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Drools rules and Java applications. Document technical specifications, design decisions, and code changes. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in Java development and business rule management. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience with Java development (Java 8 or higher). Strong experience with Drools or other business rule management systems (e.g., JBoss BRMS). Knowledge of Spring Framework and related technologies (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) is preferred. Familiarity with RESTful web services and microservices architecture. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus. Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
