Location: Johnston, IA or Indianapolis, IN(Remote)

Visa: USC/GC

Duration: 12/31/24 (possibility of an extension)

Must have excellent communications.

Candidates that reside 50 miles or less from the Johnston, IA or Indianapolis, IN offices will be required onsite
T/W/TH each week. 

is currently seeking an experienced Software Support Specialist to work in our clients Johnston, IA or Indianapolis, IN s office within a team of system specialists responsible for supporting R&D software and systems
for researchers located in North and Latin America.

 Remote - candidate can be considered as remote if in the US and living more than 50 miles from indicated Global Business Center locations at Johnston or Indianapolis.
All remote candidates must be in CST or EST time zone).

Duties:

In this role the candidates will be more focused on their science background and analytical skills. Our client is looking for candidates that possess the able to learn how to troubleshoot Farming Solutions and Digital
software quickly, so they can hit the ground running. Some technical experience is preferred.
This role will work within a team of system specialists responsible for supporting R&D software and systems for researchers located in North and Latin America.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with at least 5+ years of experience as a Software Support Specialist. Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and to complete tasks with minimal management oversight.

Required Skills:

Remote Candidates must be in CST or EST time zone.

Resolve Tier 1 level security requests, perform cache refreshes, update data through software tools.

Perform Tier 2 level investigation and troubleshooting of proprietary research software.

Record troubleshooting steps and resolution details in Atlassian Jira Service Desk.

Learn proprietary research processes and systems to provide software solutions.

Manage and update knowledgebase articles.

Perform UAT and smoke testing prior to software deployment.

Develop and implement deployment plans for new software tools including writing technical documentation, creating training videos, and presenting live training demos.

Bachelor's degree in Science or Computer Science, or Associate's degree in similar fields

Proficient in MS Office and MS Excel

Basic SQL scripting

Strong analysis and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Self-motivated, resourceful, and innovative

Ability to learn quickly and manage priorities in a fast-paced development environment

Go-getter attitude

Ability to work well in a culturally diverse team and independently

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual English / Spanish

API querying tools (Swagger, LINQPad)

MS Visual Tools (.Net, Visual Studio)
