Position: Sr. Cyber Security Engineer - Palo Alto Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6+ months Job Description: As a Firewall Engineer, you will represent the company by designing, implementing, and supporting firewall solutions and related security systems for clients. You will also provide technical assistance to other team members with firewall-related requests and incidents. Additionally, you are expected to be a leader in our organization by mentoring and supporting the daily activities of less experienced security engineering team members. About You: Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, and LAN/WAN technologies and monitoring/management applications. Must have professional IT and/or Security Certifications, such as Palo Alto Networks PCNSE (highly emphasized), CISSP, Check Point CCSE/CCMSE, Fortinet NSE 7-8. Expert network systems troubleshooting and technical diagnosis skills. Expert Firewall Policy and Rules Management experience, including Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, and Fortinet. Expert Cyber/Network Security Policy Management and Monitoring experience, such as Solarwinds, Netskope, Algosec, Tufin, Skybox, Varonis, Illumio, NAC/Forescout, Tenable. IT Service Management systems usage experience, including Monday.com, Service Now, BMC, CA, ConnectWise, Jira. Cloud and Cyber Security experience, particularly with AWS and Azure. Ability to build clearly defined requirements and convert them into robust technical architecture. Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills. Skill in preparing written communications and materials, including PPT, Visio, Word, and Excel. Ability to follow clearly defined requirements. Ability to follow written communications and materials, such as Runbooks, Playbooks, Knowledge Base. Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, active listening, and customer care. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment. Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies, processes, and learn quickly. Ability to mentor team members and communicate effectively. Your Responsibilities: Design, implementation, and support of firewall and network security solutions. Including, but not limited to, Firewall Policy and Rules Management, Threat Management, and Endpoint security solutions. Review and validate firewall-related Change Control requests, including initial approval/rejection. Operate independently as a technical lead on firewall and network security-related projects. IT support related to issues with firewall security and network infrastructure. Document maintenance for all relevant firewall systems and configurations. Perform firewall security design and configuration assessments of Client environments. In partnership with the customer management teams, assist in the architecture and development of firewall solutions aligned with the companys objectives. As a key member of the security team, participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployments. Author high-quality technical specifications, documentation, and accurately estimate project requirements for customer proposals. Assist in the technical development and delivery of proposals. Contribute thoroughly to testing strategies and high-quality training documentation. Achieve technical certifications aligned with company objectives. Assist in the development and delivery of relevant customer business reviews.
