Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)/QA Automation Engineer Location: Cincinnati, OH (Onsite) Experience Level: Senior (9+ Years) Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and planning comprehensive test strategies, supporting and maintaining the test automation framework, and analysing requirements to create and execute automated test cases. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality software products through effective automation practices. Key Responsibilities: Test Strategy Design: Develop and implement detailed test strategies and plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all software features and functionalities. Automation Framework Maintenance: Support, enhance, and maintain the test automation framework, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and aligned with the latest best practices. Test Case Development: Analyze requirements and user stories to derive automated test cases, integrating them into the existing test suite. Test Execution: Execute automated test scripts, monitor results, and collaborate with the development team to resolve any identified issues. Tool Utilization: Utilize Selenium and other automation tools to create, maintain, and execute test scripts. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the test automation framework and processes, driving continuous improvement in QA practices. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure a cohesive approach to testing and quality assurance. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of test strategies, plans, test cases, and test results. Qualifications: Experience: [X] years of experience as an SDET, QA Engineer, or a similar role, with a strong focus on test automation. Automation Skills: Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, along with experience in maintaining and supporting automation frameworks. Programming: Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C# for developing automated test scripts. Test Strategy: Experience in designing and planning comprehensive test strategies for complex software systems. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. Collaboration: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Tools: Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Jenkins, and Git for managing testing activities and version control. Preferred Skills: Experience with other test automation tools like TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber. Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
