| Datastage/MFP Developer with Python and Big Data Expertise Location: San Antonio , Plano ,TX Please share resume at [email protected] Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Datastage/MFP Developer with a strong background in Python and Big Data technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for staging data and managing SQL databases, as well as optimizing and parallelizing Python code to handle large-scale data processing. Additionally, experience with Python API development is crucial, as the role involves rewriting existing APIs from Flask to FastAPI to improve performance and scalability. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain Datastage/MFP processes to stage and manage data in SQL databases. Design and implement efficient data pipelines to handle large-scale data using Datastage/MFP. Parallelize Python code to enhance performance and scalability in big data environments. Rewrite existing Python APIs originally developed in Flask to FastAPI, ensuring improved performance and scalability. Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Troubleshoot and optimize existing data processing workflows and SQL queries. Ensure data quality and consistency across various systems and processes. Required Skills and Qualifications: Datastage/MFP Expertise: Proven experience in staging data and managing SQL databases using Datastage/MFP. Python Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python, particularly in big data environments. Big Data Experience: Hands-on experience with parallelizing code and optimizing performance for large datasets. API Development: Experience in developing and maintaining Python APIs, with a preference for experience transitioning from Flask to FastAPI. SQL Skills: Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve performance issues. Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
