Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SCADA Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The SCADA SME will be responsible for providing deep technical expertise and leadership in the design, implementation, and optimization of SCADA systems. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and a strategic mindset to ensure the efficient operation and advancement of our SCADA infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities: 

System Design and Implementation:
Lead the design and implementation of SCADA systems and associated components.
Develop and maintain detailed system architecture and documentation.
Ensure SCADA systems meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Technical Expertise and Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for SCADA-related technical issues and queries.
Provide expert guidance on SCADA software, hardware, and networking components.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex SCADA system problems and performance issues.

System Optimization and Maintenance:
   Monitor SCADA system performance and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability.
   Conduct regular system audits and assessments to ensure optimal performance.
   Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of SCADA systems, including software patches and hardware updates.

Project Management:
   Manage SCADA projects from inception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
   Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements and milestones are met.
   Develop and maintain project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and deployment procedures.

Training and Development:
Develop and deliver training programs for internal staff on SCADA systems and best practices.
Create and maintain user manuals and documentation to support system users.

Compliance and Security: 
 Ensure SCADA systems comply with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Implement and oversee cybersecurity measures to protect SCADA systems from threats and vulnerabilities.

Continuous Improvement:
   Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to SCADA systems.
   Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system capabilities and performance.

Education:  Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience:  10-15 years of experience with SCADA systems, including design, implementation, and support. Experience in industrial control systems is highly desirable.

Certifications:  Relevant certifications in SCADA systems or related technologies are a plus (e.g., ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP), CompTIA Security+).

Skills: 
In-depth knowledge of SCADA software platforms (e.g., Cygnet, Wonderware, Flowcal, Siemens, GE, Schneider Electric).
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages relevant to SCADA systems (e.g., SQL, Python).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with project management and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
