| Mongo DB2 DBA Plano, TX (Onsite) 12+ months contract Introduction: We are seeking a skilled MongoDB and DB2 Database Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. As a MongoDB and DB2 DBA, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our MongoDB and DB2 databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to design and implement database solutions that meet the organization's needs across both MongoDB and DB2 platforms. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB and DB2 instances across various environments (development, testing, production). Monitor and optimize MongoDB and DB2 databases to achieve optimal performance. Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and safety of the databases. Perform MongoDB and DB2 upgrades and migrations as required. Collaborate with developers to design and implement database schemas, indexes, and query optimization for both MongoDB and DB2. Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide corrective actions for MongoDB and DB2 environments. Ensure high availability and implement disaster recovery solutions for MongoDB and DB2. Create and maintain documentation, including database designs, configurations, and procedures for both MongoDB and DB2. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support when necessary for MongoDB and DB2 databases. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a MongoDB Database Administrator and DB2 Database Administrator or similar roles. Strong proficiency in MongoDB and DB2 database management and administration tasks. Experience with MongoDB Sharding and Replication configurations. Solid understanding of database security and performance tuning for both MongoDB and DB2. Experience in database backup and recovery solutions for MongoDB and DB2. Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
