From: Gulam Ansari, Vyze Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Position: Cloud Networking Engineer Location: Prefer Local Phoenix, AZ candidate; Duration: 6 months w good expectation to be extended/possible contract to hire down the road Start Date: Immediate Interview process: Team Panel Web Interview Citizenship: ONLY USC (due to security protocol) Cloud Network: Priority is on Azure support but will be a mixture of Azure & AWS support. This will be a collaboration between the applications team and the networking team. o Responsible for cloud set up o Responsible for migration- taking an active application and moving it to the cloud; will need to redevelop the application in the cloud; write to make it cloud ready. Take how it works today- the data flows, firewall rule, etc. & adapt it to the cloud & mold the new technology. You will grow in this role & take on additional responsibilities. Network Engineer: Designing and implementing functional network infrastructure in the cloud Resolving issues that tiers of support have escalated Mentoring team members and addressing user needs Responsibilities: Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices Monitor network performance and integrity Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness Mentor team members on technical issues Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery) Communicate with users when needed Maintain complete technical documentation Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability All other duties as assigned Requirements: Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator Extensive experience in cloud network engineering (Azure, AWS) Oracle Cloud Infrastructure networking experience (nice to have) Solid background in network administration and architecture Experience creating/implementing/troubleshooting cloud networks/infrastructure Experience setup cloud environments for applications and web services to function Experience building and baselining infrastructure specific objects in cloud environments to build consistent cloud tenants using best practice techniques for multiple cloud providers (Azure and AWS) In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF) Familiarity with access control models and network security Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools) Basic understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS) Understanding of IPSEC and other types of VPN and how that transfers into Azure/cloud Experience with Fortinet and Cisco ASA Experience with Palo Alto Azure Virtual WAN with Palo Alto (Prisma Cloud) Experience Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) SD-WAN and Virtual WAN experience Understanding of routers, switches, and firewalls. Basic Linux OS experience Solid troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently with strong organizational and mentoring skills Strong customer service skills and attention to detail Ability to partner and influence peers and customers. Project Management skills -not looking for just a solution focused approach; will need timelines & cost estimation. Training delivery/presentation skills- responsible for rolling out the information to the team by providing a team walk-through Ability to work after hours to support projects and maintenance activities.
