Job Title: Database Developer Location: On-site [Indianapolis, IN] Need Locals only to IN .. Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Database Developer for a 6-month+ contract role. The Database Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of databases critical to our business applications, with a primary focus on business intelligence applications. This role will involve collaboration with our DBA team, application developers, business analysts, and end users to deliver effective database solutions and support. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the DBA team, application developers, business analysts, and end users to understand requirements and propose solutions. Design and implement databases including tables, views, stored procedures, and other database objects. Troubleshoot data and performance issues, recommending and implementing solutions. Act as a liaison between the application team and the DBA support team. Adhere to corporate change management processes. Assist with data integration tasks as needed. Minimum Qualifications: 10-12 years of experience in relational database development, including creating tables, views, stored procedures, and queries. 5-7 years of experience designing and modeling relational and analytical databases. 5-7 years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse environments. 5-7 years of experience with MS SQL Server database design and development. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycles (e.g., waterfall, iterative, agile). Experience with Erwin Data Modeling software. Experience with modern database/storage technologies (e.g., Azure, Data Lake, NoSQL) is a plus. Experience in modeling and/or writing reports in PowerBI is a plus. Experience with ETL technologies is a plus. Experience with IBM DB2 is a plus.
