I am reaching out to you on an exciting job opportunity with one of our client Title: Splunk SME Client: Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) Location: Remote, NY Duration: 12+ Months Visa Restrictions: USC OR GC Job Summary: The Splunk Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be responsible for managing and supporting the Splunk environment at Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA). This role includes covering all gaps in Splunk coverage, providing strategic advisory services, and ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of Splunk infrastructure. The SME will also act as a backup for the PPFA Splunk SME during PTO. Key Responsibilities: Splunk Management: Oversee the Splunk ES (Enterprise Security) environment, including patching, tuning, and managing the OJA (Operational Joint Analytics) Splunk infrastructure. Splunk Heavy Forwarder: Handle management and maintenance of Splunk Heavy Forwarders. Device Management: Manage devices related to Splunk and ensure their maintenance. Strategic Advisory: Provide strategic advisory services and backup for the PPFA Splunk SME during their absence. Network and VPN Administration: Manage network connections and administration of VPN as related to the Splunk environment. Support: Offer 8x5 support to ensure operational continuity and address any issues that arise. Required Skills: Splunk ES Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Splunk ES, including patching, tuning, and infrastructure management. Splunk Heavy Forwarder: Proficiency in managing Splunk Heavy Forwarders. Device and Network Management: Experience in device management, network connection management, and VPN administration. Advisory Services: Ability to provide strategic advisory services and act as a backup during PTO. Support Coverage: Capable of providing 8x5 support to ensure the reliability and efficiency of Splunk operations. Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in managing and supporting Splunk environments, including ES and Heavy Forwarders. Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, device and network management expertise, and strategic advisory capabilities. Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder. Additional Notes: This is a remote position, and no travel expenses will be covered. The role requires coverage of all aspects of the Splunk environment and strategic advisory services.
