JOB TITLE: AWS DevOps Engineer LOCATION: Hartford, Connecticut-HYBRID(NEED LOCAL CANDIDATE) WORK VISA: USC AND GC ONLY Client: State of CT Day to Day: Process improvement Large focus on automation o Taking/looking for automation opportunities everywhere Must haves: Core services: AWS o Some Azure exposure Terraform Jenkins Docker Kubernetes Containerization Nice to have: Agile methodology Mix of AWS/Azure experience Soft skills: Go-getter, self-starter Great communication skills Wants someone who is eager to get the work done goes out and finds problems doesnt wait to be instructed on what to do. Long term goal: Cross trained in AWS and Azure environments Primarily AWS Moving from Waterfall/Service Ticket Oriented environment to Agile Eventually would like the cloud team to understand the applications on-prem o Would lead to better collaboration. Right now: ticket comes in, they make changes, get it done manually wants to move on prem teams to devops Other: US Citizen/Perm resident for now Hybrid 2-3/week to start o Can be flexible once they get acclimated.
