| From: Aditya Raj, Vyze [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - Title: Lead Business Analyst - Endur Client Industry: Oil Location: Houston, Texas Interview: Onsite Role Overview: Lead Business Analyst, ETRM Systems As a leader in this role, you'll oversee a team of diverse professionals, manage production issues, leverage your expertise to drive new integration activities and projects, and elicit requirements for features on our long-term roadmap. You will also provide crucial inter-team support related to front and back-office solutions. This position supports Gas businesses, working on both ETRM systems and in-house applications, including Openlink Endur, with opportunities to expand your skills in the GPTA environment. Key Responsibilities: - Team Leadership: Lead a diverse team of business analysts, ensuring successful delivery and functional support of an Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system across a broad user base. - Collaboration: Partner closely with the Principal Product Manager to facilitate conflict resolution and reach agreements. - Mentorship: Mentor junior business analysts, sharing your deep functional knowledge and expertise in the ETRM industry. - Scrum Mastery: Act as the functional lead and primary scrum master, planning and coordinating scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. Ensure sprints are properly scoped, balanced, and achievable. - Backlog Management: Lead backlog grooming activities, prioritizing tasks as part of scrum processes. - Transparent Communication: Maintain clear communication with business stakeholders throughout the change and release management lifecycle. - Requirement Gathering: Lead business requirement gathering and documentation for enhancements, projects, and defects in Azure DevOps. - Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the development team to ensure solutions meet business requirements before moving to the formal release cycle. - Efficiency Leadership: Drive consistency and efficiency within the team through active leadership. - Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external IT teams and internal business partners. - Process Standardization: Standardize and enhance processes for requirements elicitation, system design, and functionality validation. - Strategic Solutions: Ensure solutions are aligned with long-term strategic goals and facilitate a smooth transition to operations. - Issue Resolution: Monitor and manage issues in ServiceNow, ensuring the team adheres to SLAs and maintains clear communication and documentation. Essential Education: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Essential Experience and Requirements: - 5+ years of functional experience with Commodities trade lifecycle and energy trading/ETRM systems (Endur or similar). - 8+ years as a Business Analyst in the energy trading industry. - 15+ years of overall IT experience, with a broad background in designing, planning, implementing, maintaining, and documenting solutions. - Proven ability to build strong business knowledge through meaningful partnerships. - Demonstrated experience leading teams and delivering complex projects and support. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic technical environment. - High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to delivery. - A culture of change and agility, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team. - Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional problem-solving and facilitate discussions to achieve business outcomes. - Strong understanding of system architectures and the ability to manage changes across multiple products and projects while maintaining upstream and downstream dependencies. - Ability to simplify and integrate concurrent projects that span across teams and domains by identifying patterns that improve efficiency and promote solution reuse. Desirable Criteria: - Deep functional expertise in the natural gas industry. - Experience with Back-Office processes in ETRM systems, including Accounting, Settlements, and Tax. - Proficiency with Openlink Endur (version 18 or higher). - Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools, and Agile methodologies. - Experience with ServiceNow or similar tools. - Commitment to continuous learning and improvement. - Experience designing new functionality and processes that enhance the business user experience in Endur.
