Job Title: Google Cloud Platform L2 Support Engineer (GKE/Kubernetes Specialist and Tech Lead) Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: Long-term Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT support or cloud support roles. At least 3 years of hands-on experience with GCP services, including GKE/Kubernetes. Proven experience in a leadership or technical lead role. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Networking, etc.). Expert knowledge of GKE/Kubernetes, including cluster management, deployments, and scaling. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Helm, Istio). Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana). Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible). Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to mentor and develop junior team members. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies. Certifications (Preferred): Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect. Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
