| Job Title: Solution Architect Duration: 6+ months Location: German Town, MD Contract: Corp to Corp Type of position: Onsite Job description: We are looking for an experienced IoT and Cloud Architect to lead our roadside modernization tolling project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in device integration, high transaction processing systems, messaging architectures, and zero trust architectures . Ensure the security of the tolling system through the adoption of zero trust architecture principles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions. Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices for IoT and cloud technologies. System Requirements: Bachelor s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in IoT and cloud architecture, with a strong focus on device integration and high transaction processing systems. Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. In-depth knowledge of messaging architectures (e.g., MQTT, Kafka, RabbitMQ). Strong understanding of zero trust architecture principles and implementation. Experience with edge computing and IoT device management platforms. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex tasks. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Preferred Qualifications: Experience in roadside tolling or transportation systems. Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning as applied to IoT data . Certification in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).
