Role: Data Scientist with exp in BI & Data Visualization (Tableau, Statistical Modelling) Location: Austin, TX || Sunnyvale, CA(Onsite) - Only Local to TX | CA Candidates Visa: Only H1B with PPnum Mandatory Job Description: Require a working knowledge of formal statistical analysis and causal modelling Use SQL to manipulate and model data Use Python or R to perform statistical and causal modelling; create visualizations; Use Tableau to create interactive visualizations Require excellent communication skills Experience with formal data analysis, which generally entails probabilistic and statistical modelling, experimental design and analysis, causal modelling, and explanatory machine learning I would expect anyone who can do those things is proficient with the standard tools, like Python, SQL, and Tableau. One of the main challenges I have faced is that most of the contractors I have interviewed equate building visualizations and dashboards to analysis, when that's actually just the starting point. Data exploration is essential, but insufficient to derive robust insights.
