[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title : Sr System Engineer Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Onsite) NOTE: Need Locals or Nearby Location Job Responsibilities: Manage the Systems Engineering Lifecycle for IMA and Federated computing products/technologies. Develop and execute systems development and verification plans in accordance with GE Aviation processes. Assist Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Business Leaders in new pursuits. Develop architecture and trade studies as needed to comply with customer requirements. Cross train Systems Engineers in the systems engineering process. Drive and support engineering reuse within the Computing Systems product line. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the teams running projects within the product line. This includes supporting project planning, conducting reviews, metrics development/tracking, forecasting, development processes, and risk and opportunity management. Ensure timely delivery of systems requirements, integrated validation/verification activities, and issue resolution. Support the startup of new projects to insure they are well planned in accordance with the product roadmap, the overall product line strategy and engineering process requirements. Lead/manage interdisciplinary collaboration with software, hardware, test, safety, maintainability, reliability and certification teams. Escalate issues that need additional engineering or business leadership assistance in a timely manner. Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.
